What are your success rates?
My success rates speak for themselves and over the past 10 years, I am proud to have helped hundreds of couples become parents.
In addition to being a Naturopath, Nutritional Therapist, Fertility Awareness and Emotional Release Practitioner, I am Foresight trained Natural Fertility Practitioner. To date they have published three studies on their success rates.
Foresight – The Association for Natural Fertility and Preconception Care
Renowned and respected throughout the world for their pioneering work in natural fertility and with impressive results which boasts an 89% success rate, Foresight was established in 1978 and has demonstrated the effectiveness of preconception health care in helping both infertile and fertile couples have babies.
Study 1: Surrey University Study:
89% success rate and 86% for previously infertile couples
Dr Professor Neil Ward, Surrey University conducted the most widely quoted study.
In his letter to the Editors of The Journal of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine he wrote:
“Written and telephone follow-ups carried out in 1993 revealed that 367 (89%) of women had become pregnant and 327 children had been born since enrolment. There were no multiple pregnancies. In remarkable contrast to the couples' previous experience, all their babies (137 males and 190 females) were born healthy and were well developed at birth which occurred from 36 to 41 weeks (mean 38.5 weeks). Average birth weight was 3265g (2368 – 4145). None were malformed, and none were transferred to special baby care units. Among 204 couples with infertility problems, 175 (86%) had achieved healthy pregnancies.”
Details:
Study involved: 367 couples over a 2-year period
Previous pregnancy issues:
- Infertility: 37%
- Miscarriage: 38%
- Therapeutic abortion: 11%
- Stillbirth: 3%
- Low birth weight:15%
- Malformations: 2%
Results:
- Live births: 89%
- Live births to those previously infertile: 86%
- No miscarriages, perinatal deaths, malformations
- Normal expectation based on population sample: 70 miscarriages, 6 malformations
Study 2: Foresight in-house study 2003
78% success rate and double chance of IVF success
- Foresight completed a further, larger study with 1,061 couples.
- Results show similar excellent outcomes, with a conception rate of 78.4% of a healthy baby within two years of following the program.
- This study also suggests a more than doubled conception success rate for IVF from 22.6% to 47.1% following preconception health care.
Study 3: Foresight in-house study 2010
89% success rate for full programme and 69% for part
Details:
Study involved: 2383 sub-fertile couples
Previous failed fertility treatments within the population:
- 2838 failed IUI
- 3004 failed IVF
- 1081 failed ICSI
- 8939 miscarriages
Results:
Group 1:
- 1578 couples completed the full programme
- 1417 babies were born, 89% success rate
- There were 42 miscarriages (2.9% vs 16% expected)
Group 2:
- 518 couples did a part of the programme but did not complete it. They had 358 babies. 69.1% success rate, of these there were 39 miscarriages (7.3% vs 16% expected)
Please note:
As impressive as these success rates are, it is important to know that they involve both prospective parents fully following a preconception programme and working closely with a Foresight Practitioner over many months up to two years (it takes 9 months to grow a baby of course).
Due to that varied nature of fertility issues I see in my clinic; I cannot guarantee these results for everyone and I will never turn anyone away if they still have hope for a baby.

What is Naturopathy?
Naturopathy is a complementary health care system used extensively throughout the world, which focuses on using natural remedies such as dietary and lifestyle advice, nutritional supplements and herbal medicines to support the body’s ability to heal and maintain itself.
It looks at the body as a whole and examines a wide range of causes for ill-health. Every patient is treated and respected as an individual and receives a health-care plan specific to them. The Naturopath now stands amongst all therapies as the most widely trained and skilled practitioner of natural medicine.
The role of the Naturopath is to recognise and remove barriers to the healing process. So, a Naturopath will:
• Treat the underlying cause of illness – not just symptoms
• Treat the whole patient
• Educate patients about their illness and how to care for themselves
• Develop strategies to maintain good health
Kat Boyd is one of the registered naturopaths in London who is educated to a high standard, have a commitment to lifelong learning and is bound by a strict code of ethics.
I’m not TTC, can you still help me with my women’s health issue?
At Birds & Bees, I am passionate about women’s health at all stages of the lifecycle. The female body is a delicately balanced organism, with several different stages of maturity and the ability to create new life. With the crazy lives many of us lead, it’s not surprising that our bodies sometimes fall out of their natural balance.
My goal is two-fold – to help you regain that balance your body so desperately needs to function properly, and to help you get to know your body and understand its needs. Far too many women live day to day with debilitating health conditions because they don’t even realize they are not supposed to feel so run down and exhausted.
I aim to discover the root cause of your symptoms and support natural healing with diet, specific supplements and herbal medicines that are prescribed for your unique situation. I routinely see patients with a variety of women’s health conditions including:
Glandular imbalances
- Adrenal issue
- Thyroid issues
Menstrual concerns
- Hormonal mood disorders & PMS
- Irregular menstrual cycles
- Menorrhagia (heavy menstrual bleeding)
- Menstrual pain
- Amenorrhea (absent periods)
Ovarian and uterine issues
- Ovarian cysts
- Polycystic ovarian Syndrome (PCOS)
- Endometriosis
- Uterine fibroids
Vaginal infections
- Bacterial vaginitis (BV)
- Recurrent yeast infections (thrush)
Menopausal concerns
- Osteoporosis and preventative measures
- Cystitis
I believe in a whole-body approach. Treating a symptom alone doesn’t make you better; finding the cause of the symptom and treating that makes you better. Many doctors will give you medicine to treat the symptoms of a bladder infection but won’t try to find out why you keep getting them. Wouldn’t it be better if you could discover the source?
My women’s health services include natural fertility and conception guidance, as well as a chemical-free “green” contraception programme and fertility awareness for women who wish to prevent pregnancy without any side effects. Being a woman means having control over your body and living in harmony with your hormonal changes.
At Birds & Bees, we strive to help you become more in tune with your own body, so you can quickly recognise and correct imbalances, track your fertility cycle, and both avoid falling pregnant or encourage conception when the time is right for you.
My women’s health programme
The first visit for this programme will last for 60 minutes. It includes a full health assessment in order to determine what your unique issues are. If needed, we use highly skilled, advanced laboratory testing to determine the exact imbalances involved in your case so we can target treatment to get the best results for you (details will discussed with you at your appointment).
A treatment plan will be designed for you which will evolve over time, aimed at removing the causes of your health concerns and restoring balance. We also focus on preventative medicine, seeking to protect your improved health status and optimise your future health.
Initial women’s health consultations, including a written treatment plan are £220 and you can book yours by getting in touch using contact form below.Fertility Plan FAQs
What happens after I receive my plan?
We meet for 30 minutes so I can answer any questions you have about your plan. You then have the choice to either “follow your plan by yourself” or choose to “have me by your side” to ensure no stone is left unturned as we strive to solve every possible issue relating to your fertility while nurturing your physical and emotional health.
Can I continue to work with Kat?
When you decide to continue working with me, I will refer you to leading labs and analyse the results to investigate your fertility’s missing puzzle pieces on a deeper level and continuously update your Fertility Plan. You will receive more information as to what working together looks like including discounted packages as part of your fertility plan.
Can I work with Kat without starting with a Fertility Plan?
Yes, I appreciate that some people want to just get their burning fertility questions answered and aren’t ready to fully commit to a plan or regular sessions. These sessions are called Strategy Sessions and the first one is only £97 (saving £50), you simply come with all of your questions and I try to answer as many as I can during our time together. You can book it here
How do I get my Fertility Plan updated in light of new information?
You can book a single session with Kat to get her to update your plan in light of new information. Packages are also available saving you up to 35% of the session fee.
What is included in a Fertility Plan?
You get approximately 6 - 7 hours of my time and expertise working on your case. I will spend up to 60 minutes prior to your first session reviewing your case, 60 minutes meeting with you during your Fertility Audit Session and then spend 3 - 4 hours developing your plan. After you have received your plan, I spend a further 30 minutes meeting with you to ensure any questions you have about your plan can be answered.
How many pages will my plan be?
You can expect around 4 - 6 pages of information specific to your case. You will also receive many supporting documents to help you implement any recommendations.
What about further testing?
Within your plan, you will receive a list of tests that would be of benefit for you to learn more about your situation. If you are in the UK, I will be able to refer you to all the leading labs for further testing. Some can be done in the comfort of your home, by visiting a lab or by arranging a nurse visit. It is my goal to try to help you save money where possible on testing so if your GP can do a test you may need, I will advise as such.
What about my partner?
Babies always come sooner when the male partner is fully on board with their own fertility plan, especially if there is a known issue with his sperm or you have had miscarriages. Including you partner is an optional extra when purchasing a plan.
You have two choices for Male Fertility Plans.
£247 Basic Plan: Includes all that is offered in a female plan; however, everything is done via email, there is no face-to face contact
£397 Advanced Plan: Includes all that is offered in a female plan including two sessions with Kat
For reluctant men, sometimes they need to see in black and white that they could do a little more to help. If that is the case, I am happy to refer your partner for semen analysis or other tests prior to meeting me.
